12. JAIPUR: THE PINK CITY

Welcome to my travel blog of Jaipur, the Pink City of India! Jaipur is a city in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan and is known for its rich history, culture, and stunning architecture. During my visit, I got to experience the city's colorful bazaars, ancient forts, and palaces, and delicious food.

Here are some of the highlights of my trip:

Hawa Mahal: This stunning palace was built in 1799 and is known for its unique architecture. It has 953 small windows that were designed to allow cool air to circulate throughout the palace, hence the name "Hawa Mahal" which means "Palace of the Winds."

Amber Fort: The Amber Fort is a massive fortress located on a hilltop overlooking the city. The fort was built in the 16th century and is known for its intricate carvings, stunning courtyards, and impressive mirror work.

City Palace: The City Palace is a complex of palaces, gardens, and courtyards located in the heart of Jaipur. The palace was built in the 18th century and is a stunning example of Rajasthani architecture. Visitors can explore the museum and learn about the city's history.

Jantar Mantar: The Jantar Mantar is a collection of astronomical instruments built in the early 18th century. It is one of the largest and most well-preserved observatories in the world and is a must-visit for anyone interested in astronomy and science.

Jaipur Bazaar: The Jaipur bazaar is a vibrant and colorful market where you can find everything from spices and textiles to jewelry and souvenirs. It is a great place to experience the local culture and shop for unique gifts to take back home.
